Waist Training Guide
Waist training takes time, patience, and a little maintenance but Dulce Couture is here to support you!
All new corsets must be broken in otherwise you can damage the garment so have patience with your training. There are no hard or fast rules to waist cinching, the number one rule is the more you wear a corset that pulls in your waist the more effect it will have. It is just that simple, the key factor to waist training is YOU!
Waist Training should be done gradually and in moderation.
To begin we suggest wearing the corset for no more than 3 to 6 hours a day when possible.
Remember waist training is best achieved when the following 3 components work in harmony:
Daily Wear, Healthy Dieting, and Regular Exercise
CORSET MAINTENANCE-
1. Always wear with a liner or tight camisole/t-shirt to protect the corset lining from moisture and body oils.
2. Air Dry your corset at the end of the day. Corsets must be completely air dried to avoid damage to the stitching and lining. DO NOT dry using a heat source this will cause shrinkage.
3. Consider protecting the outside of the corset by spraying a protective coat of Scotch Guard.
4. Cleaning- From time to time you may need to wipe clean the outside or the liner with a damp cloth. If the Corset needs a thorough cleaning then it is suggested to be cleaned at a dry cleaners (ensure they have experience of cleaning such articles) or simply wash your corset by hand.
5. Consider investing in multiple corsets for different occasions, we suggest at least two and this will allow you to swap between routine cleaning of your corset.
6. Once you have reached your goal waist size you will still need to wear a corset on occasions to maintain your new shape.
Follow these simple tips for maintenance, break the corset in gradually and you will have a corset that lasts.
